Orest Subtelny – a historian, who has woken interest of millions of people to Ukraine’s past; a researcher who has led many successors by the new historical labyrinths; a Ukrainian, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of the Ukrainian state. Orest Subtelny is, without exaggeration, one of the most influential spokespeople for Ukraine abroad. Moreover, it is through his diligent and painstaking work, his perseverance and sincere support the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine has been able to achieve significant progress when training qualified specialists of Ukraine's diplomatic service in recent years.
